On the 29th of May 2019, we had our closing event. Our representatives were cooking zero waste meals for a week and we couldn’t wait to hear their stories and experiences. Therefore we met at Het Houten Pand to talk about how their week of zero waste meal went and had some table discussions.
During the event we had a great talk with each other! We came up with three questions for the evening:
- What was your favourite zero waste solutions that you discovered this week?
- What was your most difficult zero waste solution that you discovered this week?
- What are you going to continue doing to reduce your waste?
These questions and answers gave us insights about how our representatives experienced their zero waste week and what they came across in their journey to a more waste free life.
We shared some ideas and tips with each other. The municipality of Rotterdam was attending the event as well and they enjoyed seeing our initiative and what we do for the city.
The whole event was zero waste. Drinks were provided bij Iris Martin from Het Houten Pand. All drinks came from glass and there were no plastic straws available. The snack were from Gimsel Rotterdam, all bought from bulk in cotton bags. The questions were written on old shoebox cardboards and were recycled after the event.
There were more jars and plants for our representatives to take home and make their home even more zero waste!
Thank you for joining us and sharing your ideas about the zero waste lifestyle!
